From July 25, members of the Trenitalia loyalty programme they can convert the accumulated points into discounts for the purchase of airline tickets and booklets. 

On Monday, through a press release published on FSnews, Trenitalia announced the start of the campaign card cashbackFRECCIA. Thanks to this promotion, all travelers enrolled in the company's loyalty program have the opportunity to use the points accumulated (through previous purchases of Trenitalia tickets) for discounts on tickets and booklets for themselves or for another person. 

How to get the Trenitalia loyalty card?

Get the Trenitalia loyalty card it's pretty simple: just go to the Trenitalia website and follow the instructions on the page.

It is discounts not exceeding 50% full price: with 300 points you can take advantage of a 10 euro discount but the minimum amount must be 20; in the event that the accumulated points are 600, the applicable discount will be 20 euros but the minimum amount must be 40.

How to redeem points?

In general, redeeming this type of concession can be complicated, especially for those who are not accustomed to the digital world. However, in this case the procedure is simple enough to allow it to be carried out even by those who are beginners with the network: when purchasing the ticket, on the Trenitalia website or app, just click on the " Cashback CartaFRECCIA” to take advantage of the discounts. And if we are not familiar with online purchases? There is an alternative: just go to one Trenitalia ticket office or from an Freccia Club/Lounge to avail the discount.

The Cashback program is one of the initiatives promoted by Trenitalia (Italian FS group) to encourage the use of trains during the summer and to offer passengers integrated connections with other modes of transport, in order to guarantee a "door to door" service .
