With a loan from the Lombardy Region and an investment of 7,3 million euros, Candy becomes the leader of a group of companies aimed at creating intelligent home appliances

Candy 4.0: the start of the intelligent home appliances project

A washing machine that communicates and suggests the right program for washing is not science fiction, but real and closer than we could imagine. With a' app e a device specific one finds himself relating to a smart home appliance.

This is the project"candy 4.0”, conceived by candy group with the collaboration of various companies in Lombardy and aimed at creating a highly efficient production process. Innovative practices will be used and the appliances will be able to communicate with the user and with the factory, also interacting with the websites and using the information available. In practice, production is automated and digitized, costs decrease, the quality of processes and the work of workers increases.

The idea of ​​the project was born as a response to the call opened in 2016 by Lombardy region for the development of Research and Innovation Projects. Of the 91 projects presented, only 32 were selected for funding equal to 600 million euro. Of these 2,753 millions will go to Candy 4.0 and more will be added 4,6 million entered by other companies under the guidance of the group: New Target Web Srl of Bergamo, LCM Progetti Srl of Concorezzo (MB), Info Solution Spa of Vimodrone (MB) and the CEFRIEL research center 

Strong growth is therefore expected for the Brugherio-based company. The development and research activity of the group will increase, the knowledge of technologies such as ICT, Big Data e robotics and it will certainly increase the degree of competitiveness, thanks to the expansion of the range of offers and the ability to anticipate market trends.
