Cairo: profits down to 5,5 million in the half year, magazines are doing well

Ebitda and Ebit of the magazine publishing sector amounted to 7,7 million and 7,2 million, up respectively by 22,9% and 26,1% compared to the first half of 2014 (6,3 million and 5,7 million ).

Cairo communication closed the first half with a net result down to 5,5 million euro (compared to 14,5 million in the first half of 2014), despite achieving positive results in the traditional sectors (magazine publishing and advertising agency) and despite the consolidation of the results of the cost rationalization interventions of the television publishing sector (La7) implemented in 2013 and 2014.  

I revenues gross consolidated amounted to 133 million euro (142,2 million in 2014). EBITDA (Ebitda) consolidated and the operating result (EBIT) amounted to Euro 8,1 million and Euro 4,5 million (respectively 16 and 14 million in the first half of 2014).
