The publishing company Cairo Communication announced the figures for 2013, according to which the company would have closed the period in question with gross revenues of 276,7 million euros, down on the 309,15 million earned in the previous year.

The turnover, which also includes television activities consolidated since May, would have been 284,7 million euros. The gross operating margin fell to 24,71 million euro, while the net profit would have been 18,9 million euro.

Also including the non-recurring income and charges relating to the acquisition of La7, the net profit would have been 74,05 million euro. Cairo Communication made a net profit rising from 5,33 million to 5,95 million euros in the fourth quarter alone, reporting a positive net financial position at the end of 2013 of 172,92 million euros, a decisive improvement compared to 61,23, 7 million at the beginning of the year, thanks to the acquisition of LaXNUMX.

Management has proposed the distribution of a dividend of €0,27 per share, the same amount assigned last year. Although the reference scenario is not favourable, the company has not ruled out the possibility of achieving positive operating results also for 2014.
