Intesa SanPaolo Vita shines: +25,8% the net result for the first half

The insurance arm of the Intesa SanPaolo group reports a net result up by 25,8% in the first half of 2013. Equally positive results in life (+49%) and non-life (+18,7%) premiums. The improvement in the degree of capitalization also stands out, from 6,4% in June 2012 to 7,3% today.

Excellent performance for the Intesa SanPaolo Vita group in the first half of 2013. The net result reached 241,2 million euro, up by 25,8% compared to the same period last year, and premium income marks a leap both in the life (+49%, to 5.989,5 million euro) and in the non-life business (+18,7%, to 130,5 million euro), bringing total assets under management over the threshold of 57 billion euro.

Under the direction of the CEO Gianemilio Osculati, careful management has made it possible to reduce operating costs by -6,3% and to improve the capital solidity of the Group, raising the degree of capitalization from 6,4% in June 2012 to 7,3% today.

“We have achieved the objective of keeping costs and risks low and at the same time achieving results of great satisfaction” comments the CEO Osculati.
