Brexit, European industrialists for No

(Teleborsa) - The presidents and managing directors of the European Round Table of Industrialists, in a letter urge the relaunch of the European Union in view of the referendum on Brexit, scheduled for June 23, which will decide whether or not the United Kingdom remains in the 'EU.

The 51 CEOs, therefore, line up for "no". While respecting the decision of British citizens, "we believe that a Europe without the United Kingdom would be weaker, just as the United Kingdom itself would be weaker outside Europe".

"Only a joint approach to the problems will allow us to obtain the changes necessary to improve the living and working conditions of the European population, above all in the interest of young people and future generations" write the industrialists in the letter, underlining that "the of the single market and common rules for the 28 countries would reduce, not increase, the prosperity of our continent. Investment and the creation of new jobs benefit from a united Europe”.

Among the various signatories of the letter, the managing director of ENI, Claudio Descalzi, the CEO of Vodafone Vittorio Colao, that of StMicroelectronics Carlo Bozzotti, the president of FCA John Elkann.
