Brembo: first quarter profit -2,1% to €20,6 million

The first quarter of the company chaired by Alberto Bombassei closed with a net profit down by 2,1% on an annual basis, to 20,6 million - Net revenues up by 6,3% to 371,9 million euros – Bad stock on the stock exchange.

Brembo's first quarter of 2013 is on file, which closes with a net profit down 2,1% year on year to 20,6 million and consolidated net revenues up 6,3% to 371,9 million. The gross operating margin in the quarter increased by 10,2% to 47,3 million, while the net operating margin amounted to 26,1 million, +9,3% over the year. Net debt decreased to 344,6 million against 349,9 million as at 31 March 2012.

In the note released by the braking system manufacturer, we read that the projections of the orders in the portfolio "confirm for the remaining part of the year a growth in revenues consistent with what has been shown in these first few months".

The president Albero Bombassei is optimistic, who speaks of "constant growth in revenues and margins despite the difficult economic situation", thanks above all to the strong internationalization undertaken by the group. Meanwhile, after the publication of the first quarter results, in the late morning Brembo shares lost 1,24% on the Stock Exchange, to 12,72 euros per share.
