Bosch is targeting Whirlpool? This is why the rumor animates the market

A rumor shakes the world of household appliances: the German one Bosch wants to take Whirlpool. First they attribute the acquisition intention to Bosch – the conglomerate Electrolux, for which Midea and perhaps also Hisense continue to be available; then that of wanting to buy Whirlpool as Reuters reported again in a report published recently. In reality, it would seem, as stock market experts seem to be commenting, a gossip to energize stagnant prices. Unless the arrival of heavy duties on products extra-US which the future American president will certainly apply has not frightened Bosch which has enormous interests in the USA, namely factories, market shares and an excellent image.

Whirlpool at risk: acquisition or relaunch?

Could a possible joint venture or even aacquisition stop this menace? And again, could the new president - whoever he is - tolerate a historic company like Whirlpool being acquired? The world market of appliances and not only is it going badly, with some exceptions for Asia. The hope, often expressed by managers of American companies and retail groups, for a strong recovery she was disappointed. The year will end completely dish, as the authoritative Twice recently wrote. Ditto for Europe, now engaged in unsustainable war burdens. The increase in conflicts and the now stratospheric costs of global logistics, increasingly disjointed by piracy and wars, certainly does not fuel globalized trade and transport. Thus, a general, albeit slow, return of manufacturing activities to the countries of origin of the former multinationals is being consolidated. Those who find enormous difficulties on this path are those companies that have favored their own financial hypertrophy, reducing investments, personnel and innovation over the decades. Not only is this not the case with Bosch, but on the contrary, Bosch in all its segments has hoarded patents, implemented the authority of the brand, and has also consolidated and increased market shares. Thus the golden rule is verified that those who spend more spend less: those who are holding up the continuing crisis are in fact companies like Bosch, Hisense, Midea e Beko. The market shares, which will arrive shortly, demonstrate this.
