Stock exchanges, US labor data give new impetus to European lists

No frenzy, but a cautious recovery. After the publication of data on the American labor market, European stock exchanges gain a few decimal places and move into positive territory. At the beginning of the afternoon, Piazza Affari gained 0,23%, Frankfurt 0,6%, London 0,35% and Paris 0,4%.

In May, 175 jobs were created in the United States, more than the 169 expected by analysts, but the unemployment rate rose to 7,6 from 7,5% the previous month. Experts were expecting the figure unchanged at 7,5%. The gains of the previous two months were revised downwards by approximately 12 thousand units. In April, 149 jobs had been created.

Numbers that mitigate the effects of the other important fact of the day. The German central bank cut its growth estimates for Germany in 2013 and 2014, noting that "much will depend on the stabilization of the euro area." The Bundesbank thus forecasts an increase in GDP of 0,3% this year against the 0,4% previously forecast and +1,5% in 2014 against the +1,9% of the old estimate. The Btp-bund spread remains above 280 basis points, at 287.

In Piazza Affari, sales are concentrated on financials, with Fonsai (-2%) at the bottom of the Ftse Mib. Unicredit (-1,7%) and Montepaschi (-1%) are also bad. Stmicroelectronics (-1,7%) and Finmeccanica (-1,4%) also appear among the worst declines.

The queen of Milan at the moment is Autogrill (+3%), after the ok to the duty free separation process and the affirmation of the Benettons, who have said they are ready to dilute themselves in both companies. Mediolanum (+2,4%), Fiat (+1,8%), Diasorin and Gtech (+1,6%) performed well.

Risanamento leaps by 4% after Luigi Zunino's note: “At the request of Consob – reads the text -, I confirm that I have presented Risanamento and its main shareholders with a proposal to purchase the company's shares. If accepted, the offer would lead to the launch of a mandatory takeover bid on Risanamento shares”.
