Milan stock exchange in swing. The spread dances, the case of Italy in the spotlight of the other markets

Piazza Affari positive albeit slightly (+0,12% at 12) then in the red. Spread straddling 200 points, down to 194 points and then rebounding to 207. The markets followed with the attention usually reserved for a decisive derby the words of Mario Draghi who, faithful to his cliché, has not conceded much to the disturbances of the various political forces: the prime minister says he is willing to withdraw his resignation, as long as the parties renew full trust in the executive. Now the word passes to the Senate vote scheduled for the afternoon. And re-emerge i discontent from the League and the 5 Star Movement who expected a soft Draghi. Hence the pessimism of the last minute. Even if nothing can be excluded.

Milan Stock Exchange in the balance, beacon on the spread, European lists on the rise

While waiting, the operators are watching. Similar attitude also on the other markets of the Eurozone: Italy, as Ray Dalio, manager of Bridgewater effectively said, at the moment plays the role of the canary in the mine which with its chirping warns the miners of the imminent danger: if the spread soars. In short, he shakes the whole building, which explains the feverish eve of tomorrow's meeting in Frankfurt.

The developments in the gas game and the positive results of the first European quarterly results pushed the lists upwards (Eurostoxx +0,3%): It takes off Uniper +17%, the German utility which on Friday will receive the funds to avoid the bankruptcy caused by the cuts in Gazprom supplies. Ursula von Der Leyen, in presenting the energy savings plan of the Union (a 15% drop in consumption is expected) believes the next cut in Moscow's supplies is "probable".

Avanza Volvo +3,6%, buoyed by electric car sales, Asml holds +0,3%, the "workshop" for the production of chips machines. The Dutch giant reported second-quarter profit rising to 1,4 billion euros on record orders, but cut revenue targets mainly due to supply chain delays.

In Piazza Affari Tim goes up, the banks down

Stm advances in Milan +1,44% pending the opening of Wall Street.

Few movements in the list focused on Tim +1,5%: and on more defensive stocks, links to healthcare: Diasorin +1,9%, Recordati and Amplifon, with increases in the order of one percentage point.

Positive banks in opening hold back: Unicredit -1,1%, Intesa Sanpaolo -2,2%. Fineco -2% Mediobanca raises its target from 12,5 to 13,5 euros.

Mediobanca +0,81%. The president of Delfin, Francesco Milleri, confirms that, after the death of the founder of Luxottica, Leonardo Del Vecchio, the financial Delfin will not change its strategy or will not reduce the equity investments in its portfolio but could even increase its investments if necessary .
