Stock Exchange: Buzzi exploits, but Atlantia and Unicredit fall

Stock exchanges waiting for the Fed: Ftse Mib -0,3%, Madrid loses 1% on the chaos in Catalonia – Concrete shines in Milan after the sale of Italian assets to Italcementi, Cementir flies on the Star, Buzzi pink jersey on the Ftse Mib (+6,1%) – Fineco and Exor also up – Atlantia in the red due to rumors on the counter takeover bid by Hotchief (Acs) on Abertis – Sales on Unicredit after rumors of interest in Commerzbank.

Another interlocutory session for the European lists, which are taking a breath waiting for the next moves of the central banks. Tonight the Fed will lift the curtain on the future. No news on rates is expected, but the start of the reduction of the balance sheet and the assessment of the economic scenario and monetary policy for the coming months.

Piazza Affari loses 0,31% and stops at 22.355 points, with banks in the red, starting with Unicredit -2,24%. According to Reuters, the bank has expressed interest to the German government in a possible merger with Commerzbank. The cement-related stocks, on the other hand, sparked after the announcement of the sale of the Italian assets of Cementir Holding (+5,57%) to Italcementi (Heidelberg group). In the wake Buzzi, +6,09%, which is the best blue chip of the day. 

The other continental price lists were lukewarm: Paris +0,08%; Frankfurt +0,06%; London -0,05%. Out of the pack Madrid, which loses almost 1%, unnerved from the problems in Catalonia. The news of the day are the arrests of the vice president of the region and 13 other officials in view of the secessionist referendum on October XNUMX, with consequent demonstrations and clashes in Barcelona.

Wall Street opens timidly, how can a square that does nothing but ring records be. At the moment the three main price lists are moving in different directions. The Dow Jones is still sailing on the highs of last session, the Nasdaq is fractionally down.

The euro-dollar exchange rate remains in the 1,2 zone. The yield of the 10-year BTP on the secondary has not moved much, but the spread with the Bund widens, +1,93%, 169.10 points. Gold was stable at 1311,91 dollars an ounce +0,07%.

Oil growing, despite the fact that the weekly data on US inventories is partially disappointing. Brent 55,64 dollars a barrel, +1,68%.  

In Milan the titles oil companies are among the best of the session, in particular Saipem +1% and Eni +0,81%. It stands out among the financial ones Finecobank +1,08%. The Fiat galaxy is in dust, with Exor +1,02% and FCA +0,98%.

At the bottom of the list, in addition to Unicredit, it is placed Atlantia, -1,67%, penalized by attempts to materialize a counter takeover bid on Abertis. The realizations bring down Brembo -1,55%. Stm -1,75% and Italgas -0,81% were also weak.  

The best stock of Piazza Affari is the Centrale del Latte d'Italia, +17,20%. Giving wings to the stock is the news that as at 31 August 2017 the group's turnover stood at 90,5 million, up by around 90% on the same period of 2016. A dynamic which, on a like-for-like basis of consolidation , is reduced to +6%.
