The run stops Ftse Eb, which after the gains recorded in February (+5,5%) and in March (+7%), closes the month of April with a drop of 1,7%, returning to the 24.100 point area, weighed down by concerns on the trend of infections and on the delays of the vaccination campaign which, however, with a tailspin, touched the quota on April 29 500 thousand daily administrations.

The other European stock exchanges did better, closing the month with a sharp rise. The best is Paris, which records an increase of 4,7%. Earn over 4% too Madrid, while Frankfurt it is "satisfied" with +2,7%. Outside the Union, it also gallops London which in April rose by 3,75% in the wake of the reopening decided by Downing Street.

Returning to Milan, there are some stocks that clearly beat the trend of the main index, achieving performances to be framed. The best stock of the Ftse Mib in April is Amplifon, which gains more than 10 percentage points, returning above 35 euros per share. It also runs nexi (+7,3%), while in the banking sector it stands out General Bank: in April the increase was 5,9%. On the shields also fashion, with Moncler which rises by more than 5 percentage points.

The "scepter" of worst monthly performance goes instead to Saipem (-16,4%) weighed down by the stoppage of an important project in Mozambique which also had a negative impact on the 2021 targets: for a few hours Saipem has had a new CEO, Francesco Caio, and it will be up to him to get back on top. The auto sector suffers with Pirelli (-8,4%) And Stellantis. In April, the stock of the Agnelli family lost 7% of its value, despite the excellent data on quarterly sales (+10,8% against +3,8% average in Europe) posted a few days ago. Bad too Cnh (-6,88%) which pays the halt in negotiations with the Chinese giant Faw for the sale of Iveco and other assets. A setback that the market did not like. Among the five worst stocks of the month there is also Tenaris which marks -6,8%.
