Booking.com, agreement with Keesy: here is the 24-hour automatic check-in

Booking.com Italia expands its network of commercial partners by announcing the agreement with Keesy, a non-hotel tourism startup that operates in the home sharing sector.

Keesy, whose service is already active in Florence and is also launching in Rome and Milan, is the first fully automated check-in and check-out site. Thanks to the collaboration, the accommodation facilities on the Booking.com Italia circuit that will join the initiative will be able to allow guests to check-in and check-out 24 hours a day.

The operation of Keesy is very simple and functional: in the event that the Host cannot accommodate a customer, just go to a Keesy Point and through an automated recognition system it will be possible to collect the keys of the structure, kept in special safety boxes , send the data to the police station, pay the stay and the city tax.

The same operation can be performed at the exit for the return of the keys and the check-out procedures, all of which can also be managed remotely via smartphone, tablet or PC.

There will be no additional costs for guests. The service is available in the form of a subscription, with an unlimited number of check-ins/check-outs, or in the form of a Keesy Check, a single check-in/check-out operation.

For all those who register a new facility by 20 February in the areas of Rome, Florence and Milan, a special code will be reserved which will allow them to have a free pack of 15 Keesy Checks to be used at the Keesy Points in Florence Santa Maria Novella, Rome Trastevere and Milan Central.

“This is an operation designed above all for our partners who have difficulty guaranteeing on-site presence throughout the day for the usual guest registration operations, such as the owners of apartments or small accommodation facilities. It is an initiative that is part of our continuous search for solutions to encourage the work of partners and thus improve the service also for customers” comments Andrea D'Amico, Senior Regional Director of Booking.com Italy.

“For us at Keesy, the partnership with Booking.com is a way to make our service accessible to more non-hotel facilities. Our aim is to make the lives of Hosts and Guests easier, free them from time constraints at check-in and give them the opportunity to meet at a better time: we want to create a new idea of hospitality. With Keesy there are no language barriers, the Host is free from managing the entire bureaucratic part and from handing over the keys. A lighter, full-blown stay.” says Patrizio Donnini, Founder and CEO of Keesy.

In addition to the Keesy Point in Florence, located near the Santa Maria Novella station, the Roma Trastevere Point and the Milano Centrale Point, another one will soon open in Venice, in the Cannaregio district. Thanks to this agreement, the partners will be able to guarantee themselves, at advantageous conditions, the services that Keesy is able to provide.
