Today Prime Minister Matteo Renzi will travel to Milan to attend the 54th edition of the Furniture Fair and will address the theme of “decor bonuses" (or "mobile bonuses"). To anticipate it at the ribbon cutting of Milan Furniture Fair is the Deputy Minister for Economic Development Carlo Calenda, who did not want to reveal any other details.

However, Calenda recalled that the bonus it is “confirmed in 2014 and today the prime minister comes here and I think he will talk about it, but I won't burn the things he will say on this issue. The internal market is a priority for many companies and needs to be relaunched”, Calenda underlined again, explaining that in any case “relaunching it is much more complex, because the dynamics are not in a positive phase and therefore the conditions must be created” to favor consumption.

In recent days the president of Federlegno, Roberto Snaidero he remembered that the furniture bonus will expire at the end of December and the industrialists mean ask the Government to become structural and that further concessions be adopted for young couples.

What is the Furniture Bonus and how do you get it?

Il furniture bonus is a tax reduction for the purchase of furniture and large appliances with an energy class of no less than A+ (A for ovens) for a building undergoing renovation. In fact, to date, those who want to take advantage of the furniture bonus will necessarily have to carry out renovations on their property. The bonus allows you to get a deduction of 50%, divided among those entitled in ten equal annual installments, up to a total expenditure not exceeding 10 thousand euros for purchases made between 6 June 2013 and 31 December 2015.

Furniture Bonus: What Furniture Items Make the List?

In the list provided by the Revenue Agency on mobile bonuses among the furnishing elements of the house which is being renovated there are beds, wardrobes, chests of drawers, bookcases, desks, tables, chairs, bedside tables, sofas, armchairs, sideboards, mattresses and lighting fixtures.

Which major appliances are included in the furniture bonus?

The list provided by the Revenue Agency relating to the benefits linked to the purchase of large household appliances is very long. As indicated above, in order to obtain the deduction of the furniture bonuses you must purchase appliances with energy class A+ or higher (class A or higher for ovens). Here are the large appliances for which you can take advantage of the bonus: washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, dryers, cooking appliances, electric stoves, electric hotplates, microwave ovens, electric heating appliances, electric radiators, electric fans, appliances for the conditioning.
