After click day chaos of November 3, few hours left to submit the application for the 2020 bike bonus. It will expire at midnight today, Wednesday 9 December, the possibility of apply for the incentive by those who bought a bike (traditional, pedal assisted or electric), a scooter or another micro-vehicle for individual transport from 4 May to 2 November 2020. It is therefore time to hurry. The bonus can still be requested by registering on the 2020 Mobility Voucher website and logging in via Spid. Once done, you can enter your request.
We remember that the 2020 bike bonus covers 60% of the cost incurred for the purchase of a vehicle, up to a maximum of 500 euros. Therefore, if a user has bought a 600-euro bicycle in the past months, he will receive a refund of 360 euros.
All adults are eligible for the incentive:
- resident or domiciled in the regional capitals (even under 50 thousand inhabitants),
- resident or domiciled in the provincial capitals (even under 50.000 inhabitants),
- resident or domiciled in municipalities with a population of more than 50.000 inhabitants,
- resident or domiciled in the municipalities of metropolitan cities (even under 50.000 inhabitants) namely Bari, Bologna, Cagliari, Catania, Florence, Genoa, Messina, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Reggio Calabria, Rome Capital, Turin and Venice.
According to the latest data provided by the Ministry of the Environment, updated to December 5, over 198 vouchers have already been spent, for a value of approximately 71,13 million euros. Of these, 43.643 refunds have already been made to merchants, for a total of 16,68 million. The reimbursements made to citizens are instead almost 250 thousand for an amount of 83,45 million. Overall, there are therefore 154 million on the table.
The deadline of 9 December officially concludes the 2020 bike bonus operation. Those who have already pre-registered will therefore have to provide the invoice or receipt certifying the purchase, as well as the IBAN on which to receive the bank transfer containing the refund .
According to forecasts, unless there is a surge in applications in the last few hours, the refunds due to the click-day excluded could also arrive earlier than expected because you can draw on the funds saved for vouchers downloaded but never used. In fact, during the click day of November 3, 257.949 vouchers were issued to be used within 30 days, but only 195.940 were used.
