In the balance sheet of first half of the French group Bollorè, the 6% stake held in Mediobanca, increased slightly compared to the end of 2011, is accounted for at a value of 330,7 million, far higher than the 179,5 million that represented the market value of the shares at the end of last June.
In the half-yearly report of Bollorè, then, it is explained how the utilization value of the equity investment, recalculated as at 30 June 2012, is higher than the market value, a revision which led to a depreciation of 19,5 million euro.
Furthermore, the group would intend, thanks to the favorable consequences of the renegotiation of the shareholders' agreement which controls 41% of Mediobanca's capital, to further expand its influence on society, accounting for the investment in equity.
In the first half of 2012 the French group scored a accrued profit halved from 214 million euro last year to the current 104 million, while turnover grew by 16% to 4,68 billion.
