As part of supporting cultural institutions, Bloomberg Philanthropies launched the app Bloomberg Connects in November 2019. A free digital guide to museums, galleries, gardens and more.
On the occasion of the Paris Olympics, 39 French museum institutions have joined the platform
Bloomberg Philanthropies believes in the power of arts and culture to inspire creativity and stimulate social cooperation. The Arts program supports artists and cultural organizations and enhances citizen participation to strengthen the quality of life in cities around the world. This action includes facilitating collaborations between artists and local governments to address civic issues, building capacity for cultural institutions including in small and medium-sized cities, and enhancing visitor engagement through digital technology.
Through Bloomberg Connec which provides a whole series of features: video, audio and texts, expert comments and exclusive orientation maps for each museum or cultural institution, it is possible to interact anywhere from mobile devices with the world of art and culture.
Technological innovation and digital applications allow you to broaden and deepen your visit to our Museum. We are happy to participate in this initiative which sees us included in an international network of museums – declares Giovanna Forlanelli, President of the Luigi Rovati Foundation – and allows us to extend access to our collections and exhibitions around the world to an ever-wider audience.
