Biesse "cooks" a good deal in the UK. And the stock on the stock market soars

The wood multinational will supply a plant to Howdens Joinery, a company listed in the City, leader in the production of kitchens in the United Kingdom does.

Big coup for a pocket multinational made in Italy. Biesse of Pesaro has in fact been awarded a 12 million euro contract for the supply of a woodworking plant to Howdens Joinery, a company listed on the City, leader in the production of kitchens in the United Kingdom. In Piazza Affari, the stock reacted with an increase of 6,06% to the operation that links the name of Biesse to one of the market leaders who for 24 months will rely on the know-how of the Marche-based company to complete the investments and development.
“Both the order backlog and orders show a double-digit increase – explains investor relator Alberto Amurri – but we have not yet reached the turnover levels of 2008, pre-Lehman crisis”. The recovery of the company headed by the Selci family is favored by the excellent response from the markets of the Far East, starting with China and India, and from Brazil, as well as the return of German customers. “But the crisis will only be completely overcome when the American clientele returns”.

Yesterday's rise only partially neutralizes the fall from the beginning of May (-13,6%). But in the last twelve months Biesse has achieved a performance of 20,34% in Piazza Affari.
