Silvio Berlusconi will have heart surgery. The diagnosis for the former prime minister is in fact "severe" aortic insufficiency. The aortic valve will therefore have to be replaced: the Cavaliere will be operated on by Ottavio Alfieri of the San Raffaele in Milan and the operation will last 4 hours.
The news was given, in a press conference convened in the Milanese hospital in the afternoon, by the same personal doctor of the former prime minister, Alberto Zangrillo. Meanwhile, visits from family members and closest collaborators continue in the hospital, such as the lawyer Niccolò Ghedini, who has arrived in via Olgettina to meet the former prime minister.
