Gas stations, confirmed the maxi strike

The strike by petrol stations in service areas along all motorways, ring roads and junctions is confirmed. The workers will cross their arms from 22pm today to 6am on July 19th. This was announced by Faib Confesercenti, Fegica Cisl and Anisa Confcommercio in a note, accusing the Government of having been "indifferent" to the complaints of the managers.

“Only absolute indifference – explain the three initials of the managers in the joint note – No intervention to exercise the institutional prerogatives aimed at guaranteeing compliance with the laws and formally signed agreements. No mediation activity between the parties to prevent a real 'economic holocaust' perpetrated against hundreds of management companies and over 6.000 workers who are violently deprived of their income and job”.

The Ministry of Economic Development, they continue, "remains, judging by the behavior assumed so far, intentionally inert, trusting - with an incomprehensible and unnatural alliance - that the strike proclaimed for the next few hours can be physically opposed by the powerful 'counterparts' of the managers: oil companies and motorway concessionaires”.

The managers also highlight how “the Strike Guarantee Commission – which in normality should intervene on the strikers – has instead just made it known that it wants to convene the oil companies and the motorway concessionaires. An initiative – regardless of the results it may achieve, within the limits of the faculties outlined by the institutive law – for which the category intends to immediately express its deep appreciation”.

"Also thanks to the support of such an initiative - they conclude -, the trade organizations insist on pressingly asking the Government, in its collegiality and in particular the Presidency of the Council, for a full assumption of responsibility".
