Petrol, Unione Petrolifera: alarm for unjustified price increases

The cost of gasoline is not increasing. At least that's what the Petroleum Union believes, the association that brings together the main Italian companies in the refining and distribution of products derived from crude oil. According to the Up, fuel prices are showing "a decline" and it is "paradoxical" to hear and read about "record increases". Especially at a time of year when many are preparing to travel for the May XNUMXst long weekend.

"Even this morning", continues the note, "there is talk of the record price of 1,918 euros per litre, re-launched yesterday evening by the agencies, which is actually the price of 16 April". The UP thus invites the sensationalists to pay greater attention to the sources of their news.

Finally, the Unione Petrolifera denounces "the exploitation and superficiality with which the matter is treated". The price of fuel is a "sensitive issue" and has "obvious social repercussions", for which it is necessary "to avoid creating unjustified alarms".
