Employee welfare, Generali inaugurates Energy Hub

Generali inaugurates Energy Hubs in the Generali Tower at Citylife in Milan, an innovative laboratory dedicated to activating the physical and mental energy of all employees and promoting healthy and sustainable lifestyles. Energy Hub was designed in line with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health in the field of prevention. Inside, a team of professional doctors has studied a series of exercises and courses aimed at activating the energy of the people involved. The Leo group is supported in the project by Med-Ex, a company specializing in the promotion of prevention programs on correct lifestyles, which has been involved in the medical assistance and sports training of Scuderia Ferrari drivers for 25 years.

Furthermore, the creation of the Energy Hub was able to leverage the skills and direct experience of Generali Welion, the integrated welfare company which, within Country Italia and the Generali Group, offers companies health and well-being courses for employees and cutting-edge solutions in the world of corporate welfare. The launch of the Energy Hub is the most recent step in a real welfare process for Generali employees. Starting from the innovative spaces that characterize the Hadid tower in terms of collaboration, including a cafeteria focused on the concept of well-being and healthy and balanced nutrition, the following have been launched: a smart working project that allows further flexibility in the management of one's work-life balance and an Energy Check-up program (a course of medical visits aimed at assessing one's general health and cardiovascular risk), to improve one's lifestyle and one's personal and professional performance.

Energy Hub also enhances the Company's role as Lifetime Partner of its customers and employees in line with the Generali 2021 three-year strategy. Maurizia Cecchet, Human Capital Director, Generali Group Investments Asset & Wealth Management, commented: "We believe it is important to put colleagues in the best conditions to feel good at work and find the right incentives and energy to be able to focus better on the ambitious goals we set ourselves to achieve", and he added: “Employee well-being is not measured only thanks to the activation of physical and mental energies, but also thanks to prevention and knowledge of what it means to lead a healthy life. In this regard, we have envisaged the creation of workshops aimed at addressing issues such as nutrition, sleep, the aging population, etc…”.

The courses offered free of charge to employees include functional activities, but also physical and mental activation such as yoga and pilates to then move on to more innovative courses that enhance the company's Diversity & Inclusion policies such as self-defense courses, courses for new mothers returning to work and rehabilitation courses aimed at specific disabilities. Inside the Energy Hub it was a Formula 1 simulator was also set up which reproduces the experience of a professional driver on the track, stimulating attention, motivation and decision-making in challenging contexts.
