Beesy, fintech in the field for VAT matches

The trademark is German, but the project is 100% Italian. Even because Beesy, the platform developed by FinLeap (the first European company in the sector) in the Fintech District of Milan, was created to solve many problems for small and medium-sized enterprises, a clientele that is as new as it is promising for the digital economy. “This is our first startup built outside Germany” confirms Ramin Niroumand, the founder and CEO of the 600-employee group, which has already developed 16 companies including Solaris Bank, the first fully licensed banking platform. And it is an application promoted by Marco Berini, former Head of Innovation at Unicredit, one of the key figures in the introduction of Fintech in Italy, in conjunction with and not in opposition to the banks. Beesy, in particular, wants to be a real problem solver for SMEs and the professional world.

The system now allows you to:
• Link a Banca Sella bank current account by accessing the transactions
• Arrange wire transfers directly from Beesy
• Create invoices and track their payment status
• Memorize and classify expenses
• Dialogue with Beesy tax and administrative consultancy experts
• Allow access to Beesy also to your accountant.

Once the experimental phase is completed within a few months, Beesy, developed entirely in Italy together with Fabrick, the first Italian ecosystem for the development of open banking, will allow:
• The opening of a VAT number for freelancers and sole proprietorships
• Processing of tax returns
• Sharing of documents online with accountants
• Automatic notifications, for example, when revenue limits are reached (flat rate)
• The reconciliation of bank details with invoices and costs.

“Freelancers and sole proprietorships in Italy have struggled for decades due to bureaucracy and the lack of adequate digital tools,” says Matteo Concas, 3, former general manager for Italy of bank N26, the German online bank that offers possibility of having a free current account in any EU country. To achieve the objective, Beesy will be able to count on the alliance with some banks, starting with Banca Sella. But other banking institutes will join in the coming months until the EU PSD2 directive will completely open the connection to all Italian banks to the point of becoming, Berini bets, "a point of reference in the digitization process in Italy because it is already demonstrated globally , and it will certainly be even more so in Italy, where SMEs embrace digital solutions that help them in their daily lives with great interest”.
