ECB, bond purchases down

The ECB's purchases of government bonds on the secondary market virtually halved last week, falling to €6,651 billion from €14,3 billion the previous week, which itself followed a record purchase of €22 billion. This was announced by the Frankfurt institution itself, specifying that tomorrow there will be the usual fund drainage operation to absorb excess liquidity and that its volume will be 115,5 billion. The Eurotower also lets it be known that last week, among those held in the portfolio, bonds for 1,327 billion expired.
