Banks, Unipol and Mediaset support Piazza Affari (+0,54%) but Ferragamo is always in free fall

The Stock Exchanges recover in the final and Piazza Affari gains 0,54% on the wave of the banks, Unipol and Mediaset – The fall of Ferragamo and Tods, CNH and Saipem continues instead – Sales also on Prysmian – Telecom Italia pay the stop in Argentina.

The Milan Stock Exchange slows down in the final but closes on the rise for the second consecutive day, the Ftse Mib index rises by 0,54% reaching the maximum for two months. Similar changes for Paris +0,5% London and Frankfurt +0,4%. The best is Madrid which rises by 1,3%.

With today's movement, Piazza Affari has more than eliminated the losses of the first three days of the week, gaining almost 3% from the lows of Wednesday morning. The weekly budget is in perfect parity. In the Economic bulletin Bank of Italy credits the government's new estimate of this year's GDP: +0,9 against +0,7% in mid-April.

Euro unchanged against the dollar at 1,136, yesterday morning it had gone as far as touching 1,150. Rates falling while awaiting an expansion, or an extension beyond September 2016, of the bond purchase plan by the ECB. The Frankfurt directorate will meet during the week.

In September, consumer prices in the euro area rose by 0,2% compared to the previous month, in line with analysts' estimates. Compared to a year earlier, prices fell by 0,1%, as in August and as the consensus expected.

The 10-year BTP trades at 1,62%, down by two basis points compared to yesterday's closing, and is at levels not seen since the beginning of May. In the new Economic Bulletin, Via Nazionale accredits the government's new estimate of this year's GDP, seen at +0,9 from +0,7% in mid-April. Oil below $50 again: Eni +0,4%. Instead, back off Tenaris -1%. Saipem loses 3,3%. Counter utilities: Enel -0,1% A2A + 0,7%. Enel Green Power loses 0,9%. Banks in no particular order: Understanding + 1,2% MontePaschi -0,4% Unicredit -0,6%. On a big day the managed. Mediolanum +2,3% and Unipol + 4%.

Closes in negative territory Telecom Italy: the Argentine telecommunications control authority (Aftic) has rejected the sale of the 68% stake in Telecom Argentina to Fintech. Mediaset gains 3,6%: this morning Equita raised its rating to Buy from the previous Hold, the target price is 5,1 euro. The promotion is justified by expectations of an acceleration in advertising sales in 2016.

Out of the main basket, RCS from a gain of 4% in the morning it retreats by 0,8%, the same movement for Saras which closes at -0,6%.
