With a total of 13,2 billion NPL loans in portfolio at the end of 2017, the institution confirms its position as market leader in the unsecured retail segment.

Seventeen transactions closed to date in 2017, 13,2 billion euros of loans managed corresponding to 1 million and 520 thousand positions, more than 700 people including collaborators and territorial networks dedicated to the NPL business and digital projects designed to offer a service that is as concrete as possible to those in financial difficulty. This is, in a nutshell, the NPL Area of ​​the Banca IFIS Group. The business unit dedicated to the purchase, management and collection of non-performing loans announces today the closing, in two separate transactions, of another two purchases of NPLs for a total of 336 million euros (nominal value) in the retail and corporate segments.

The first agreement, concluded with Intesa Sanpaolo, relates to a portfolio of receivables deriving from unsecured leasing contracts equal to 2.400 positions, for a nominal value of approximately 85 million euro. The second portfolio, purchased from an Italian company active in the NPL market, includes 21.000 positions for a nominal value of approximately 251 million euro and is mainly made up of consumer credit (15%), banking (75%) and the remainder from automotive credits.

In 2017, the NPL area experienced strong acceleration on various fronts. The most important developments include the significant portfolio purchases, the growth of the team with new hires (+85% in September 2017 compared to the same period of 2016 for a total of 200 resources) and the entry into the salary-backed loans market which it opens up new opportunities for all types of the bank's retail customers. In fact, at the end of November Banca IFIS signed the agreements for the acquisition of control of Cap.Ital.Fin SpA, a company specialized in loans repayable through salary-backed loans and payment delegations.

An opportunity also identified to offer sustainable solutions for individuals and household customers in the NPL Area who need financial support, and which could translate into further profitable developments during 2018. Revenues for the year were also strong: in the first 11 months amount to 118 million euro compared to 69,5 million euro in the same period of 2016. In the light of the transactions carried out, the positions that Banca IFIS will manage in the non-performing loans market at the end of 2017 will rise to 1 million and 520 thousand: numbers for which effective management is a fundamental process for the Group's profitability and profitability.

And if the results tell a story of growth, commitment and competence, experimentation and digital projects project the NPL Area among the most innovative players in this market. For several years, credit consultants have been operating through a specific tablet app that allows the customer to view the payment forecast live through a personalized and sustainable repayment plan. The agreement is signed on a tablet with a digital signature, a secure and transparent tool, without the need for paper supports. Finally, the customer can view the payments, documents and the constantly updated status of the repayment plan thanks to the first dedicated web platform on the market, CrediFamiglia4You, online since December 2017, where the customer accesses via private login. The next releases will also allow the online payment of an installment, in a completely disintermediated and secure way.
