The Sustainable Investment Challenge has reached its final stage: from 12 to 14 May the 100 best young people, aged between 18 and 30, in sustainable finance

The Sustainable Investment Challenge, the international competition launched by Banca Generali and Reply (with the participation of MainStreet Partners, MIP Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Business and CFA Society Italy) and aimed at students and young professionals from more than 90 countries. 84% of gamers have between the 18 and the 30 years and 75% of them are students. The 14.600 registered in the first online round of 2021 (71% more than the participants in 2020) were asked to pack the most profitable portfolio possible, which however had all the ESG, i.e. ethical and environmental characteristics: 100 of them, finance traders sustainable development, have obtained the best profits and can therefore now access the final phase, which is held from 12 to 14 May.

“The Sustainable Investment Challenge – explains Banca Generali in a note – represents an innovative way for young people to learn to invest, supporting participants in researching and identifying the companies with the highest scores in the sustainability indices, thus increasing awareness of the vast investment world". From April 19 to 30, the players had 2 weeks to invest a virtual capital of 1 million dollars on the US market and in real time, and deepening their knowledge of ESG ratings. The Investment Challenge is part of Reply's Challenge programme, which aims to identify the most innovative trends in coding, creativity, cyber security and finance. Since 2018, more than 120.000 players have joined the Reply Challenge community.
