Auction Ctz, demand exceeds supply and rates still declining: 1,163%

Ctz securities were placed in the morning for a total amount of 3 billion euro, against almost double demand – The gross yield was set at 1,163%, down on the 1,392% of last month's placement.

The Bank of Italy has communicated that in today's auction of CTZs expiring on 31 December 2015, securities were placed for a total amount of 3 billion euros, to the maximum of the fork indicated from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, between 2,5 and 3 billion euros.

The request from the Ctz was almost 5,05 billion, which equates to a coverage ratio (amount of securities asked for securities offered) of 1,68, down slightly from the 1,78 of the October auction. The gross yield was set at 1,163%, down on the 1,392% of last month's placement. In the previous auction, the request for these bonds had been 4 billion euro, compared to an offer of 2,25 billion.
