Assopopolari publishes a new volume dedicated to Luigi Albertini, who from 1895 to 1899 was director of the magazine of the National Association of Popular Banks "Credito e Cooperazione" of which Luigi Luzzati was president. The volume is called "Luigi Albertini and cooperation in Europe". Albertini had taken his first steps as a journalist in the London of the nascent "The Times", e he will soon become director of Corriere della Sera.
The publication is part of the publication program that the Association is preparing to enhance the role and importance that the Credito Popolare movement has assumed in our country since the dawn of the unification process, thanks also to the farsighted vision of people such as Louis Albertini or even Luigi Luzzati and Bonaldo Stringher (whose 180th anniversary of birth and 90th of death will occur respectively in the next few months), figures who have favored the birth and diffusion of Cooperative Banks in large areas of the peninsula.
The preface of the volume it is signed by Professor Giulio Sapelli, which focuses on the studies that Albertini carried out on the various forms of cooperation that were then born and developed in various European countries such as England, France and Germany.
