Generali Italia launches Generali Jeniot, a company dedicated to the development of innovative services, within theInternet of Things and Connected Insurancerelated to urban mobility, the smart home, health and the world of connected work.

“Generali Jeniot – explains the company in a note – will offer technological solutions, which will enrich the company's insurance offer, to help families and businesses in daily activities ranging from the connected and geolocated car, to virtual assistants for the smart home, to digital devices (wearable) for personal well-being, up to sensors that help prevent accidents in the workplace".

Marco Sesana, CEO of Generali Italia, said: “Technology today allows us to offer new services to simplify and improve the lives of our customers at every stage of their daily lives: in the car, at home or at work. With Generali Jeniot, we want to accelerate the development of innovative and value-added prevention services for families and businesses. The goal is to reach 2 million connected customers by 2020”.

Generali Jeniot will be led by Francesco Bardelli as CEO and Cristina Rustignoli as president.

The Generali Car innovation and experimentation center will also converge within Generali Jeniot, which will preside over the frontier of technological and service innovation through research and development initiatives, prototyping, collaboration with companies, research institutes and universities and start-ups.
