Ape social and early retirement: the ranking starts, here's how it works

The deadline for submitting the application has expired and the applications have exceeded the foreseen ceiling: here is in which world and when the INPS will inform the applicants if and from when they will be entitled to collect the treatment.

Ape social and early retirement: the ranking starts, here's how it works

July 15 was the deadline for submitting the application to obtain 2017 the social Bee or the early retirement in the case of early workers with 41 years of contributions. The INPS reports that a total of 66.409 requests have been sent, of which 39.777 for the Ape social and 26.632 for the early ones at 41. The ceiling foreseen for this year, equal to 60 thousand units, has therefore been exceeded.

In reality, the number is indicative, because the real watershed is the spending limit for public coffers imposed by the latest Budget law: that relating to 2017 is equal to 300 million euros for the Ape social and about 360 million for the precocious ones.

It is almost certain that not all applications submitted this year will be able to be accepted immediately. But on the basis of what will it be decided who will be entitled to the Ape social or to early retirement for early-borns as early as 2017? The INPS will decide, which by 15 October will respond to those who have forwarded the application, indicating not only if they meet the required requirements, but also the first useful date from which each applicant will be able to collect the treatment.

In the case of the Ape social, the ranking will be drawn up giving priority to those who first meet the requirements for the old-age pension (these are the beneficiaries who will weigh less on the State accounts, because, once the right to traditional retirement has been achieved, it stops the disbursement of the pension advance). With the same personal data requirement, the date of submission of the application will be taken into account. Whoever arrives first will have precedence.

However, we would like to remind you that all this only applies to those who meet the requirements for the Ape social within 2017. Those who meet them in 2018 will have the opportunity to submit the application until March 31 next year and will receive a response from INPS by the following 30 June.

Finally, let's take a look at the identikit of those who requested the Ape social or the early retirement for the early ones by the first deadline of 15 July 2017.

According to the INPS press release, the region in which the highest number of applications was presented is Lombardy (11.048), followed by Veneto (6.701), Sicily (5.608), Piedmont (5.568), Emilia Romagna (4.865), Lazio (4.594) and Tuscany (4.566).

Here is the complete table provided by the social security institution:

"The most represented typology of beneficiaries - underlines INPS - is that of unemployed workers with 34.530 applications, followed by those employed in difficult jobs (15.030)".

As for the distribution according to gender, women presented 11.668 applications for the Ape social and just 3.732 for early retirement from work. Requests from men, on the other hand, reached 28.109 and 22.900 respectively.

In the total calculation, therefore, less than one application out of four was presented by a woman: to be precise, 15.400 out of 66.409, i.e. only 23,2%.
