Ansaldo Sts obtains orders for 183 million. Supply contracts signed in Italy, Denmark and India

The construction of the Copenhagen metro will yield 122 million, the works for the Calcutta metro are estimated at 46 million and the extension of line B in Rome, between Rebibbia and Casal Monastero, will generate an income of 15 million.

Ansaldo Sts obtains orders for 183 million. Supply contracts signed in Italy, Denmark and India

Ansaldo STS has collected total orders for 183 million euro thanks to three different supply operations. The Finmeccanica group company has obtained from the Danish Ministry of Transport and the municipalities of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg the task of supplying new vehicles for the new metro line in the capital. The option was already envisaged in the contract signed on 7 January and has a value of 122 million euros. The construction of the carriages, with a high technological content, will be shot at Ansaldo Breda.

Ansaldo Sts was then awarded a 46 million euro contract by Kmrcl, the company that manages the Calcutta metro. The company will undertake the design, installation and construction works, testing of control systems, signaling and communication of the Calcutta Metro. The works will begin in October 2011 and will last 52 months.

Lastly, the Finmeccanica group company, together with Salini Costruttori and Vianini Lavori, obtained the concession assignment for the executive design and construction of the extension of line B of the Rome underground, between Rebibbia and Casal Monastero. Ansaldo Sts will manage the station systems and services, as well as the areas intended for the interchange of passenger flows. These automation, signaling and telecommunications operations will bring the company an amount of 15 million euros.
