Ansaldo Sts, of the Finmeccanica group, ended 2011 with orders acquired for 2,164 billion, up from 1,985 billion in 2010, and an order backlog that increased to 5,453 billion, against 4,551 billion in the previous year. This was communicated in a note by the company, which today approved the preliminary estimates of the main management figures for 2011. The value of production, on the other hand, fell slightly, to 1,212 billion from 1,284 billion in 2010. The operating result also fell to 116 million (from 137 million).

Net financial debt improves to 290 million (from 318 million). Ansaldo's board of directors "expressed satisfaction with these initial indications, which confirm - in a particularly difficult year due to the freezing of contracts acquired in Libya and, more generally, greater competitive pressure - the achievement of the forecasts communicated at the time ”.

Ansaldo estimates in 2012 to achieve revenues between 1,2 and 1,3 billion, orders acquired between 1,5 and 1,7 billion, for an order backlog of around 5,7 and 5,9 billion.
