Ansaldo Sts, order worth 120 million in Morocco

The contract, in partnership with Cofely Ineo, involves the design and supply of the railway signalling, telecommunications and traffic control center of the future 183 km high-speed line which will connect the cities of Tangier and Kenitra.

Ansaldo Sts, order worth 120 million in Morocco

Ansaldo Sts France has won a 120 million euro contract in Morocco together with the French Cofely Ineo. The order involves the design and supply of the railway signalling, telecommunications and traffic control center for the future 183 km high-speed line which will connect the cities of Tangier and Kenitra (along the Atlantic coast). 

"As part of the contract, Ansaldo Sts - explains a note from the Finmeccanica subsidiary - will take care of all stages of signaling implementation, from design to integration and commissioning".

Cofely Ineo will field the ground control equipment and supply the power supply and associated cable networks. The complete system will allow commercial operations on the new line up to 320 km/h.

In Piazza Affari the share of Ansaldo Sts celebrates, gaining 1,8% in mid-morning. The shares of the parent company Finmeccancia also rose, posting a +1,11%.
