Reeds: 550 jobs lost in construction, 10 companies went bankrupt

The crisis continues to hit the construction sector hard: there are approx 550 jobs lost and 10 companies gone bankrupt from 2009 to date, according to data provided by Paolo Buzzetti, president of ANCE (National Association of Building Builders), in a meeting with Silvio Berlusconi.

The document drawn up by the association reads that “Since the beginning of the crisis, the construction sector has lost 360 jobs, equal to 72 Ilva Taranto, 450 Alcoa or 277 Termini Imerese. If we consider related industries, we reach 550 units”. the drama of work is then joined by the no less serious one of deindustrialization, with "a veritable boom of bankruptcies".

Another hot topic dealt with by the Ance document is that of property taxes in 2012, which grew by 36,8% over the previous year, to 44 billion. Just over half, 23 billion euros derive from the IMU. The builders' association has asked to “eliminate the Imu on unsold goods: no other industrial sector pays for goods that have not yet been sold”.
