2012 was a year of slight growth for Amplifon. The company, founded in 1950 and leader in the hearing aid distribution sector, closed the year with slightly better results. The board of directors, which met under the chairmanship of Susan Carol Holland, approved the results for the year ended December 31, 2012 and intends to propose a dividend increase.
Net profit and consolidated revenues grew. The former recorded an increase of 1,1% (43,2 million); revenues increased by 2,1% and amounted to 846,6 million. Ebitda reached 145,2 million (+0,5%). Net debt, which at the end of 2011 was 351,8 million, fell to 2012 in 305,8. The performances recorded in North America (+14,2%), in Asia-Pacific (+14,2%) and in the United Kingdom (+6,1%) positively drove the results of the group; in Continental Europe, revenues fell by 2,9%.
A satisfaction for the shareholders. The board of directors will propose to the shareholders' meeting to distribute a dividend of €0,043 per share. This would represent a growth, in the portfolio of the holders of Amplifon shares, of 16,2% compared to the previous year. Amplifon's share, at 13.45 pm, was quoted at 4,308 euro (up by 1,94%).
