Alitalia resumes i direct connections Rome-Trapani from July 8, after two years of absence. The new flights will operate until 17 September, with two weekly frequencies in the months of July and September (Saturdays and Sundays) and daily connections throughout the month of August. The company made it known in a press release, recalling that from Trapani you can easily reach the most famous tourist destinations in the region such as, for example, San Vito Lo Capo, Erice, Favignana and the other Egadi Islands. The Rome-Trapani flights will be operated with Airbus A319 aircraft.
During the summer, the Italian company will also resume i flights to Croatia with two new direct connections from Rome to Split (from 7 July) and Dubrovnik (from 23 July). Both services will be operational with two weekly frequencies until 10 September; Airbus 319 and 320 aircraft will fly on the routes to Croatia. According to data reported by the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) in 2016 arrivals in Croatia amounted to 15,6 million, of which 13,8 million from abroad (+8,7% compared to 2015). Italy is positioned in fifth place for the number of tourists, with 1.119.000 Italian visitors arriving in the splendid Croatian destinations, especially in the summer period.
The flights Rome-Split they will be active on Friday and Sunday (in July); in August and September flights will operate on Tuesdays and Sundays. Depending on the day, departure from Rome Fiumicino will be early in the morning or mid-day, while take-off from Split will take place in the morning or early afternoon. The duration of the flight is one hour and ten minutes.
The links between Rome and Dubrovnik they will operate on Tuesdays (departure from Fiumicino at 16.00 and from Dubrovnik at 18.10) and Sundays (departure from Rome at 6.50, departure from Dubrovnik at 9.00). The duration of the flight is one hour and twenty minutes.
