Protests and resignations. Augusto Fantozzi, extraordinary commissioner of the part of Alitalia in controlled administration, has decided to leave his office in open controversy with the Government. The farewell was caused by the rules contained in the maneuver regarding the extraordinary administration procedures of the companies. All members of the commissioner's office also took the same decision.

Among the disputed measures, in particular, the fact that the Executive can integrate with two additional commissioners the monocratic commissioner bodies of companies under extraordinary administration that are in the liquidation phase and in which the company compendiums have been sold.

For these reasons, Fantozzi "considered that the government's trust in him had lost - reads a note - and he handed in his resignation to the Prime Minister and the Minister for Economic Development". The now former Commissioner "will give an account in the six-monthly report and through the report of deliveries to the new commissioners of the enormous work carried out so far, the measures adopted, the results achieved, the liquidity available to date, the forthcoming deadlines, the numerous pending issues and, more generally, of the progress of the procedure".

It will also collaborate with the new commissioners to avoid "any break in continuity, especially in relation to the payment of the advance to the employees of Alitalia Express, Alitalia Airport and Volare, prepared some time ago and scheduled for next July 26, and to follow for the employees of Alitalia Servizi and Alitalia Spa”.
