The board of directors has been convened for next Wednesday, 13th November. This was reported by an Alitalia spokeswoman. According to press leaks, the agenda will be an update before the deadline for the subscription of the capital increase, next Friday, and the revision of the business plan.
Air France-Klm, which holds 25% of the Alitalia package, said it was unwilling to subscribe to its share of the 300 million euro capital increase unless structural interventions were made on the company, while denying that it wanted to cut 5 jobs .
CEO Gabriele del Torchio is reportedly working on an industrial plan which would include the reduction of 4 jobs and savings of 400 million euros.
