Acea rewards the five best shots of the Christmas lights in Rome

The photo contest has ended.Rome by Light Acea 2021”, organized by the Roman multiutility in collaboration with Roma Capitale, FAO and Maker Faire Rome and conceived with the aim of enhancing the capital's Christmas lights through the most beautiful photos. In the 2021 edition, the illuminations had as their theme the monuments of Rome and the 17 symbols of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The photographic shots were judged on the basis of the criteria of creativity, technique and consistency with the contest. 

The contest linked to this initiative aroused great interest in the public who participated by sending almost 2.000 digital images via the app created ad hoc. Of these, 1.150 were admitted because they met the required requirements. 

The evaluation committee, made up of Massimo Bonato, CEO of Areti, Tiziana Flaviani, communications manager of Acea, Luigi Coldagelli, spokesperson for the Mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri, Clara Velez Fraga, Head of Marketing and Promotion of Fao, identified the five winners of the awards which have better described the Christmas atmosphere created by the illuminations of via del Corso and by the Christmas trees installed in the town halls. 

The first prize went to Smaragda Marangou, the second to Valerio Benincasa, while the three special mentions went to Alessio Chiariglione, Fabiola Natali e Daniel De Rubeis.
