Acea: industrial plan approved for 2019, ebitda at 864 million. Full speed ahead on digitization

The plan to 2019 was approved by the Acea shareholders' meeting, in which a growth in ebitda of up to 864 million euros is expected, with +20% compared to 2014. The strength of the Capitoline company will be the technological innovation that will of Acea the first fully digital multi-utility thanks to the Acea 2.0 programme

Acea approves the business plan that looks to 2019. According to the Capitoline company, the EBITDA in 2019 could mark an increase of 20% on 2014, reaching 864 million euros. Acea also estimates a strong increase in investments in the regulated sectors and in the environment area at approximately 2,3 billion euro.

A focus on operating efficiency of around 2019 million euros in 70 is also expected and on the quality of services thanks to the innovative Acea 2.0 programme. Catia Tomasetti, President of Acea commented:”We aim to create a company that makes technological innovation its main strength. Acea will be the first fully digital multi-utility in Italy. This will allow us to revolutionize the way we provide services to our reference communities in a short time. The quality of the service is and must be our main mission".

In the new business plan to 2019, it is envisaged to ensure stable and sustainable remuneration for shareholders. The Capitoline company hypothesizes "a dividend policy which envisages payouts of between 50% and 60% of the consolidated net profit before minorities, with a minimum dividend per share of 0,40 euro".

The CEO of Acea, Alberto Irace, commenting on the business plan approved today, declared: “We have approved a Business Plan with clear and achievable objectives, oriented towards the creation of value with a significant strengthening of regulated activities and the environmental sector”.

Acea's commitment is strong for the improvement of working capital and for an increasingly solid financial structure. “We have identified – continues Irace – recurring efficiencies of around 30 million euros in 2019 – 70 million euros of efficiency over the period of the Plan. These efficiencies will be achieved thanks to an impressive transformation of Acea based on the massive introduction of technology and the re-engineering of processes”.
