Abi: protocol on properties as collateral for anomalous credits

Define specific initiatives aimed at the valuation of properties to guarantee the non-performing credits, also in light of the recent regulations adopted at national and international level.

This is the goal of Technical work table established as part of the Memorandum of Understanding for the valuation of properties as collateral for anomalous loans signed today in Rome between ABI, Assoimmobiliare and all the main exponents and operators of the real estate market.

The Technical Table aims to provide a contribution to promote the efficiency of real estate sales procedures, also through the preparation of joint documents, to be shared with the competent public authorities, in the wake of recent legislative provisions issued to deal with the management of anomalous loans secured by real estate.

The initiative takes its cue from the positive results obtained with the technical table on property valuations to guarantee credit exposures which updated the specific Guidelines on 14 December 2015. One front, that of property valuations, which saw the Banking Association Italian very active in recent months, with the definition of new guidelines even for mortgages.
