Towards a new aid plan for Greece or towards debt restructuring? The question is being addressed today in a meeting in Vienna of the Economic and Financial Committee of the EU, which could turn out to be crucial.
Representatives of the treasury of each member state, general directors or undersecretaries of finance meet in the Austrian capital. Already foreseen for some time, the goal is to prepare the Ecofin on 20 June, when the finance ministers will meet. But, given the current situation and the tensions over Greece, important decisions could already be taken today.
