McDonald's will hire 12 people in Italy by 2025

McDonalds will assume 12mila people and will open 200 new restaurants in Italy by 2025. This was announced by Dario Baroni, managing director of the group in our country, in an interview published on Monday in Affari & Finanza, the economic weekly of the Republic.

“The Italian market is considered by the group to be one of the markets with the greatest potential worldwide – explained the manager – Our goal is to go from 630 restaurants to more than 800 within four years and reach a total workforce of around 40 people compared to the 25 today".

Fast food sales globally have been hit hard by the pandemic, although take-out and home delivery have helped buoy revenues.

In 2020, McDonald's revenues in Italy fell to 1,4 billion euros, from 1,6 billion the previous year. However, Baroni assured that the group expects to close 2021 with a turnover higher than the levels of 2019 thanks to take-away, deliveries and McDrives, which together now represent over 60% of the fast food chain's sales in our country .
