This morning he was found dead the general Claudio Graziano, current president of Fincantieri. She was 70 years old. Graziano, who had recently lost his wife Marisa Lanucara, was found lifeless in his home in Rome. Graziano, born in Turin in 1953, was president of Fincantieri from 2022, appointed by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti. Prior to this position, he had held many prestigious roles including the role of Chief of Defense Staff from 2015 to 2018 and president of the European Union Military Committee until 2022.

Graziano: a career dedicated to service
General Claudio Graziano began his military career at the Modena Military Academy in the 70s, distinguishing himself for his commitment and leadership. He covered positions of increasing responsibility within the Italian Army, including commander of various Alpine units and strategic roles in the General Staff, culminating with the appointment as Chief of Defense Staff from the 2015 2018.
His career was not limited to Italy: Graziano also served as commander of the United Nations Forces in Lebanon and as President of the Military Committee of the European Union, a position he held until joining Fincantieri in 2022, indicated by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti on 20 April 2022 as the new president of the shipbuilding company. From September 2022 he was also president of Assonave (National Association of the shipbuilding industry).
