Campari, net profit grows by 8,7% in the first half of 2011

The group has communicated the data for the first half of 2011: net profit is equal to 75,3 million euros – Finalized the acquisition of Sagatiba, the leading Brazilian brand in the premium cachaça sector.

Net profit of 75,3 million euros, up 8,7% compared to the same period of 2010. Sales up 14,2%, to 589,1 million euros. These are the data for the first half of 2011 for the Campari group. Net debt amounted to 30 million euro at June 2011, 669, slightly down on the 677 million at December 31, 2010.

The company finalized the acquisition of Sagatiba, a Brazilian brand leader in the premium cachaça market in South America. The price of the acquisition is equal to 26 million dollars (18 million euros), to which is added the payment of an earn-out equal to 7,5% of the value of annual sales in the 8 years following the closing.
