5G, Mise: tender over, offers for 6,55 billion

The tender to assign the rights to use the frequencies for 5G which began on 13 September has been closed. The Ministry of Economic Development made it known in a note, explaining that the revenue achieved, equal to 6,55 billion euros, exceeds the value of the initial offers by 164% and the starting price by 130,5%.

This is the result: Telecom Italia was awarded an 80 MHz lot for 1,69 billion euros, Vodafone Italia won an 80 MHz lot for 1,685 billion euros, Wind 3 won a generic 20 MHz lot for 483.920.000. 20 million and Iliad Italia was awarded the second generic lot of 483.900.000 MHz for XNUMX euros.

In absolute numbers, total revenue exceeds the minimum of 2,5 billion established in the Budget Law by over four billion. "The phase of competitive improvements has seen a lively competition - underlines the Ministry - by the participating companies in particular on the 3700 MHz band".
