Wind power restarts and does it brilliantly, with a boom in requests for new plants. The Gse (Gestore dei Servizi Energetici) received over 1.000 applications (1.078) for a total request of 632 MW of power, during the opening period of the Registers for the incentives for non-photovoltaic RES, envisaged by the Ministerial Decree of 23 June 2016. Yes this is a request that exceeds twice the available power available at the tender of 275 MW.
In detail, for onshore wind power, the GSE received 256 requests for a total power of over 186 MW, three times the available quota of 57 MW. Similar situation also for thehydroelectric, sector for which 565 requests have arrived, for respective 249 MW of power, compared to the 79 put out for tender. Even the questions for the geothermal exceeded the available power limits: 10 requests were received by the GSE, for 49 MW of power, compared to the 30 available. The quota for les is also saturated biomass (including: biogas, sewage gas, landfill gas and sustainable bioliquids). 89 MW was available, but the 233 requests sent to the GSE correspond to a power of 115 MW. Finally, the 20 MW available for solar thermodynamics is also saturated: the GSE has received 14 requests for just over 33 MW of power.
The situation regarding i is more complex Remake records, for which a total of 83 applications were received. The hydroelectric plants undergoing refurbishment had 30 MW available: the GSE received 77 applications for over 160 MW, five times the available quota. The situation is different for theonshore wind power. In this case, the Registry envisaged 40 MW for the renovation works, but the GSE received only 5 applications for 9 MW. Finally, compared to the 20 MW available for interventions relating to geothermal power, only 1 request was sent, for a power of 16 MW.
