Webuild, one of the main Italian groups in the construction and engineering sector, has recently announced the results relating to the company's performance in the current year. Despite a decline in title on the stock exchange (-0,44% at mid-morning), Webuild recorded very positive numbers positive in terms of orders acquired and Forecasts for the future.

Despite continued expansion and growth, Webuild has stressed the importance of data management; of cash. In fact, the company expects to maintain a solid net cash position, with a value more than 400 million euros, a key aspect for financial stability and the ability to face future challenges.

Orders and international expansion

Since the beginning of the year, Webuild has obtained orders totalling 8,3 billion euros, exceeding the objectives set in the industrial plan for 2025. A significant part of these orders comes from foreign markets: over 90% of orders come from countries such as Australia (the last to Melbourne), United States, Middle East and other European nations. This confirms the international growth of the group, which is expanding its presence beyond the Italian borders.

In Italy, Webuild has acquired orders for 500 million euros, a smaller contribution than foreign markets, but still positive.

A solid commercial pipeline

The group also has a short-term commercial pipeline very strong, with an overall value of about 120 billion. This figure includes tenders already submitted and pending for a value of approximately 21,8 billion euros. In other words, Webuild has a large portfolio of opportunities ahead of it that could guarantee growth and new contracts in the coming months.

Forecast and focus on cash generation

The company has confirmed its Financial guidance for 2024, which forecasts revenues of more than 11 billion euros and an EBITDA of more than 900 million euros. In addition, the group forecasts a book-to-bill of more than 1,0X, which means that for every euro of revenue, the company is acquiring orders for more than one euro.
