Vivendi rises again in Mediaset: it is now at 25,75%

Vivendi has today exceeded the threshold of 25% of the capital of Mediaset. This was indicated by the French group in a brief note, with closed markets, specifying that it currently has control of 25,75% of the capital of the Cologno group and 26,77% of the voting rights. Just yesterday the French group had announced that it was intending to increase the share capital of Mediaset "within the limit of 30%".

Meanwhile, the Board of Mediaset has reacted to the siege of the group led by Vincent Bollorè, approving the presentation of a complaint to AgCom in which it reports the illegitimacy of the conduct put in place by Vivendi "in violation of sector regulations". A note announces it. “In particular – explains the company – of the art. 43 paragraph 11 of the Consolidated text of audiovisual and radio media services, as well as the possible obstacle to Mediaset's development strategies due to the cross-connection with Telecom Italia".

Today in Piazza Affari the Mediaset stock was the best of the entire Ftse Mib price list, gaining more than 23%. With around 106 million shares traded, 9% of the group's capital has changed hands. Since the beginning of the month, it has practically doubled in value (+95,07%).
